    About Me

The founder and chief investment strategist of Peconic Partners, William Harnisch named this wealth management organization after a wealthy Native American tribe that lived in eastern Long Island. His investment philosophy is both pragmatic and innovative. The company handles its assets under management carefully but bucks many conventional industry practices, such as blind adherence to diversification. Barron’s, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Business Week, Bloomberg News, and other respected international publications have sought out William Harnisch’s unique and valuable insights on subjects such as market performance and stock selection.

Before establishing Peconic Partners in 2000, William Harnisch managed assets in excess of $5 billion as the president and chief executive officer of Forstmann-Leff Associates. He has also overseen a range of special equity investments as a vice president with Chase Manhattan Bank (now JPMorgan Chase Bank). Mr. Harnisch holds a bachelor of business administration from Baruch College and an honorary doctorate in commercial science from the City University of New York.
